US Military leading the way with social media on an enterprise level


All Partners Access Network (APAN) began two years ago when the US Pacific Command (PACOM) wanted to develop an online community for the free flow of information between validated people from the US military. The latest iteration of it, “TISC” (the Transnational Information Sharing Cooperation) got a baptism of fire when on its demo day in Miami the Haiti earthquake struck. Southern Command said to forget simply doing a demo and decided to put the system into real use to help with Haiti.
